Bold Roots Plant Co. didn’t start as a business plan. It started the way a lot of good things do — with curiosity, a growing plant collection, and a desire to understand how something living responds to care, patience, and a bit of trial and error.

Over time, that curiosity turned into confidence. Not because everything went perfectly (it didn’t), but because learning how to care for plants — really care for them — made plant ownership feel less intimidating and a lot more rewarding. Somewhere along the way, it became clear this was something worth sharing.

That’s where Bold Roots comes in.

Bringing people closer to plants

Bold Roots exists to make plant ownership feel approachable, not overwhelming. Plants have a way of grounding us and bringing life into our spaces, but they can also come with a lot of questions. Which plant should I buy? Where should it live? Why does this one look… sad?

I’ve asked all of those questions myself. I’ve learned through experience, mistakes, and time — and Bold Roots is about helping others skip some of that guesswork and enjoy the process a little more.

Why pop-ups matter

Right now, Bold Roots grows best face-to-face. Pop-up shops and local markets are at the heart of this business because that’s where conversations happen — about plants, spaces, and what people actually want to grow in their homes and workplaces.

Markets allow Bold Roots to stay rooted in community, offering thoughtfully chosen plants, propagated cuttings, and small plant projects while building real connections along the way.

Growing from here

The plant stand is just the beginning. Over time, Bold Roots will continue to grow into workshops, curated plant styling, and personalized care — all built on the same idea that plants should feel supportive, not stressful.
